Philippe Gaudreau, CEO
Philippe Gaudreau, Chief Executive Officer at SOLABS, founded the company more than 10 years ago. His goal from the start has been to create a software company recognized worldwide in the Life Sciences industry. He is currently leading his company in its globalization phase. His entrepreneurship talent is tailormade to assist SOLABS reaching its worldwide development potential. Being involved in Quality and Quality control fields means for Mr. Gaudreau a continuous challenge to do the best at any level of an organization.
Mr. Gaudreau has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering at the Laval University in Quebec as well as having completed Level I & II of the CFA program. His engineering (chemistry) and financing backgrounds have been transformed over the years from expertise into valuable experience. In time, he has acquired strong competencies in document management, 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and computer system validation which he continues to explore with his numerous involvements in the Industry. Mr. Gaudreau has developed an innovative business model bringing customized expertise to clients, using his SOLABS QM Software, allowing the development of long-term tightly knitted relationships.
H. Jonathan Birks, Chairman
H. Jonathan Birks, Chairman, has more than 30 years of experience in the health care and life sciences world. He has served as Chairman of the Fund Raising Committee at the Montreal General Hospital for the past thirty-two years. At the same time, he has also been a member of the Canadian Board of Directors of one of Switzerland's oldest and finest private banks, Lombard Odier, which has developed a strong investment expertise in the Life Sciences, well before many of its competitors. In 2010, he decided to join the SOLABS team for many reasons, the main one being his impression of its team. He was impressed by the quality of the people, both in Canada and the U.S.; by their fervent dedication to quality client service; and, by the company's unique, quality product offering.
Mr. Birks holds a B.A. from McGill University as well as a Bachelor in Law from Laval University. Other than his implication within the health care and life sciences world, he has managed, for many year, his retailing family business.
Shirish Suchak, Vice President of International Markets
Globalization experience was gained by the Suchak family even before the word globalization began to be used. Shirish Suchak, a true citizen of the world, has participated over the last fifty years to various major business developments in many European, Asian, African, Middle-East and North American countries. This creative entrepreneur is always bringing his leadership to promising business ventures. His vision for international development is, in itself, an asset for any group undertaking worldwide activities because he well understands different cultures and different political contexts. These two understandings partly explain why he has been chosen to represent a foreign state in Canada. Being an action man, Shirish Suchak is always able: (i) to cope with changing circumstances; (ii) to early identify difficulties and to timely work on solutions; (iii) to share with partners his international positioning; (iv) to engage in non-profit activities aimed at providing relief to suffering people. In the coming years, Shirish Suchak shall increase his international activities, an essential step to reach his expected measure of inner satisfaction.
Ericka Moore, Director of Marketing
Ericka Moore, Director of Marketing at SOLABS, oversees the company's marketing strategy. She is responsible for planning, advertising, organising events, product development, sponsorship and research. Ms. Moore is also the main contact point with SOLABS' world-wide partners.
Ms. Moore has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of Quebec in Montreal.
Olivier Kloss, Director of Technology
Olivier Kloss, Director of Technology at SOLABS, is in charge of decisions regarding the technology roadmap for the SOLABS QM software and related software components. He leads a team of IT experts in assuring the use of the most appropriate technologies in developing SOLABS QM to ensure a seamless integration of the product within client organizations. Mr Kloss is also the main contact point to assist future clients in establish the appropriate environment to host SOLABS QM within their IT infrastructure.
Mr. Kloss has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Sherbrooke. He has been with SOLABS for 6 years now and has occupied various functions such as software developer, Software System Consultant and Project Manager. He is a Sun Certified Java Programmer and has a Certificate in Project Management at McGill University.
Benoit Prince, Director of Professional Services
Mr. Benoit Prince, Director of Professional Services is responsible for overseeing the SOLABS QM implementation projects, configuring Quality Processes based on Good Practices and development of training program.
Prior to joining the company in 2008, Benoit has worked in many Life Sciences Companies such as Pharmascience, DMS Biologics and Biosyntech in the Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments. His professional experiences as well as the different certifications he has acquired have allowed him to gain advanced knowledge and expertise in Quality Management Systems. Mr. Prince has a college degree in Chemistry and Biology. as well as a series of professional trainings such as Accredited Internal Auditor for Medical devices (ISO 13485) and Internal Auditor for Medical devices (ISO 13485).
Martine Boire, Director of Quality Assurance
Martine Boire, Director of Quality Assurance at SOLABS, is responsible for the instatement and operation of the Quality System at SOLABS. She is also the main contact point for SOLABS audits by clients, partners, etc. Ms Boire is also the first responsible person for the qualification and release of the complete suite of SOLABS software components (Processes, Core Software, etc).
Prior to joining SOLABS, Ms. Boire excelled as a Quality Systems and Documentation's Auditor at Abbott/ Hospira Laboratories for 8 years and the Quality Control Coordinator at Bioforce Canada for 4 years. Ms Boire has a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition at the University of Montreal as well as certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt Training (STAT-A-MATRIX), Scientific Problem Solving Method, System Auditor and Writing Technical Report.
Don Giesen, Strategic Advisor, Sales
Don Giesen, Strategic Advisor, Sales at SOLABS, has over 20 years experience building and leading field operations teams and implementing enterprise software solutions in North America. Over the past six years, Don has held sales leadership roles in the Life Science and Healthcare industries with Sparta systems and Philips-Visicu Healthcare. Don's success has been driven by delivering value added software and services solutions that align with operational improvement goals and offer a timely return on customers' investments.
Mr. Giesen has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing and Operations Management from the University of San Francisco.
